Where is hip hop going and is there really a state of emergency like The Source claims?

How is the creative process different as a solo artist than being in a group?
I’m really writing for me right now, instead of writing about what me and my boys were doing, I’m writing about how I’m living right now, what I’m going through right now. Ever since the loss of my man Freaky Tah, I just came out with a solo album. I felt we had to put some music out there. We wasn’t out there for a minute so here it is. It’s just different like that. Just writing different situations from a group perspective to a solo perspective.
Is there still an underground and if so, does it still matter?
Underground? Yeah, there’s still an underground. That’s the tape that ni66as be makin’ and freestylin’. The underground is always gonna be there! It do matter, you need that right there! Like open mics and all of that, it’s still here, it may look like it’s commercial because you have a lot of things going on, MTV and all of that, but it’s still here.
If Mr. Cheeks can do any type of commercial in the world, what would you do and why?
I would do a Coke commercial. That’s all I drink!
VWhat would make you the happiest person in the world right now?

I hate to sound like er' body else on the board, but it's real... I've been feeling you since day one! My fav joint is "Renee". That song has special meaning to me.
