How do you feel about the state of black music right now and your contribution to it? I think black music is at its biggest. Right now it's the music to make and be a part of. The pop community has basically made hip hop a first language! I love it. My contribution is just being a part of it.
How have you grown artistically on your sophomore effort? I've grown in all aspects: writing, producing, and performing. I have a better feel this time around for what people want from me. Prayerfully, I'm gonna give it to them.
How has life been treating you since your debut and what expectations do you have of yourself? Life has been treating me well...Success is great but I'm still pushing myself and expect to do even better this time around.
If you were a sportscar, which one would you be and why? I would like to be a muscle car: Fast, big and most of all, effective!
Who would you pick as a running mate for Al Sharpton's proposed presidential campaign? I'd pick Bernie Mac. We need a funny vice president. He's really comic relief anyway (the vice president). Plus, someone from the 'hood knows how to save money!
