Albums of the Summer: Coldplay's Parachutes, MMW's Uninvisible, Slum Village's Fanstastic Vol 2 (can’t shake this one), GFE's Slactivism, DJ Jazzy Jeff's The Magnificent, The Roots's Come Alive (waiting patiently for Phrenology), Musiq's Juslisen, Tabla Beat Science's Tala Matrix.
Live shows: I’ve been going to see a lot of music this year, which is typical of me. Jazzy Jeff is hands down my favorite DJ. All the square biz events are the jawn. I’m looking forward to Madison Square Garden 12.31.02. If you know what I’m talking about then see you there!
All time faves: Bob Marley (all of ‘em), Beastie Boys (all, but especially Paul’s Boutique), Amon Tobin's Permutation, Radiohead's OK Computer, Norman Cook's Better Living Through Chemistry, DJ Shadow's Endtroducing, Beatles' White Album...too many to list, these are just some that came to mind.
Movies: Lord of The Rings FOTR, Good Fellas, True Romance, Star Wars (the original Trilogy). Love a good movie but not a crazy movie freak, I’m more into music. I generally consider many movies I see to be mediocre at best. Can’t wait for the rest of these Lord Of The Rings movies!
Web Sites: Heavy, Launch, Trickology, The Crusade!!!, and of course Okayplayer
Books: Last book I finished was The Legacy of Luna. It’s the autobiography of Julia Butterfly who lived 200 feet up in a Redwood tree for two years!...interesting story and educational!
Some of my favorite Philly food spots: Latest Dish, POD, Kingdom of Vegetarians, 4 Seasons, Harmony, all them Steven Starr jawns, and you can easily catch me at Fresh Fields 3-4 times a week.
TV Shows: The Simpsons (c’mon now), VH1's “Behind the Music,” ”Seinfeld” (bring it back!), ”The Osbournes,” ”Jackass”...I Love my MTV
Animals: Dogs...I’m down with animals.
Vacation spot: Asheville NC...dying to get to Costa Rica.
Hobbies: Makin’ music, seein’ music, snow boarding, traveling, cruisin’ on the Okay Scooter, actin’ a foo
