What’s In Your Deck #19
Top 5 Music Picks
1. Kindred the Family Soul - “Woman First”
I have to admit, the woman is my favorite of the duo. This song features her solo. I love the honesty of the lyrics and her voice sounds great.
2. The Raconteurs – “Steady As She Goes”
Steady is a dope alternative rock song. This song gets stuck in my head (in a good way) every time I hear it. I’m excited to see what Jack White (of the White Stripes) is going to do with this band.

3. Justin Timberlake - “My Love”
I’ve been waiting on the new Justin CD, and from the looks of it, it doesn’t disappoint. The Timbaland produced track is tight and Justin’s smooth falsetto complements.

4. Omarion – “Entourage”
I like the vibe of this song. Can’t get enough of it.

5. Lupe Fiasco feat. Jill Scott – “Daydreams”
What a combination. It’s different and needed. I didn’t expect anything less.

*Mike Ant – “Touch”
A love song. It’s sexy, sensual, melodic and addictive.

new pernice brothers album - the song somerville* is the perfect slice of wistful am radio rock.
*I’m pretty sure this is about the lead singer moving to ny from mass. and then going back to his hometown. Nothing captures early 21st century NY than calling it “suck city”. Sick of the cynical indeed. Extra points for calling out rubber flip flops.
