Word To Herbert
I just got finished watching the “Enron” movie. WHOA. You hear about them on the news, the “fraud” and what-not, but you never know how deep that sh*t went. Did you know they shut off electricity in CA just to make more cash? I mean, recorded conversations of their traders saying some of the most awful things. And then I think to myself, “if a large corporation can do that to a member of the United States of America, what could the President do?” Of course, his face made a cameo in the movie. You know if some real ill ish goes down at the top of our country’s economic totem pole, the Bush family’s bound to make an appearance.

Speaking of appearances, the NYPD and FDNY made theirs at the FREEDOM party last week. We must’ve had at least 200 people outside waiting to join the 400 people inside, and our city’s finest did a drive by, saw the commotion, and wanted to know what it was all about. They came up to the door … showed their IDs … and came in and danced the night away. Of course, they tried the “I know Herbert and he said I was comped” routine, but celebrity doorman Stone Jackson wasn’t about to give anyone a free ride!

They kept asking me to play Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run.” So annoying!

Anyways, don’t fret about the large crowds. Star64’s renovation has officially begun, so we’ll be able to get in another 200+ people after we’re finished by the earlier side of May. And our people are fun-loving, well-behaved, positive, happy folks who come to dance and sing along with Two Tons of Fun, so best believe the cops were ABSOLUTELY NOT there due to any type of “trouble.” Truth is, in the 2.4 years of FREEDOM’s existence, we’ve had maybe … hmmmmmm … 1 fight.

I knocked out Marc Smooth once because he didn’t buy me a slice of pizza.
