Que Sera, Que Sera! Whatever will be will be.

Dear RU Report Readers,

It is with a bittersweet sentiment that I write this column as my last one…at least for now.

Yes, it’s true. I am officially declaring that The RU Report will go on an indefinite hiatus, effective immediately. I’m hanging up my jersey. Putting up my hooker shoes. (That’s meant as a joke). All good things must come to a close. And it’s my turn – like the song goes.

The reasoning behind me ceasing publication of the column many have grown to know and love (and maybe even hate) are varied. But the main one is the fact that I have made serious decisions that will enable me to transcend in areas that I need to. And while I am not known as someone to titillate my readership, however I’m not at liberty to go into specifics about my decision. I will say is that it’s time to move on to something bigger and better for me.

The past five years of The RU Report have been a roller coaster ride. And I love roller coasters – all the highs and the lows. I am proud to say that I’ve evolved and grown from many of my experiences, both pleasant and unpleasant. Judging from the type of responses and reader feedback I’ve received over the past year, so have you too And growing, my pals, is a great thing.

Although you won’t expect to see my byline attached to The RU Report for the time being, I assure you that this is not the last you will be hearing or seeing of me. I plan on continually inhabiting this wonderful space we all know and love as the Internet.

So I invite you to keep in touch, and put me on your Googles.com Alert module. Or if you care to drop me a line at, do so at: TheRUReport@aol.com. It still functions.

Remember, as I have always signed off in all of my columns: “It Ain’t Over Until God Says It’s Over”
